Yorkshire-born David Austin is the author of Delivered Unto Lions, a factually-based novel concerning the experiences of a disturbed child admitted to a psychiatric unit in the 1970s.      David’s educational background is in theology and the social sciences. He continues to pursue postgraduate academic study while also engaging in archival work at a provincial museum.

Over a period of several years, David has written numerous papers, articles, short stories, and the novel Delivered Unto Lions. In February 2010 David submitted the manuscript for his novel to CheckPoint Press, an independent publisher based on Achill Island, off the west coast of Ireland. CheckPoint Press liked the novel and offered David a traditional publishing contract.      David lives with his wife and two daughters in West Sussex, England, where he maintains his writing alongside many other activities.
